The 180 × 20 mm SUPERSTRETCH X-Ray Detectable Plaster by Detectaplast is a specialized blue, elastic, and highly flexible wound dressing engineered for environments where foreign-body control, hygiene, and employee safety are essential, particularly in food processing facilities, catering operations, industrial kitchens, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. This plaster uniquely combines superstretch elasticity with dual detection capabilities, meaning it can be quickly identified visually, by metal detectors, and by X-ray inspection systems used in modern food-safety lines. The plaster incorporates both an aluminium foil strip and an embedded X-ray detectable thread under the absorbent wound pad, enabling visibility under X-ray imaging and machine detection to reduce the risk of contamination.

Unlike standard rigid plasters, the SUPERSTRETCH X-Ray version uses a comfortable elastic textile material that conforms to moving body parts such as fingers, knuckles, and joints. This elasticity helps maintain secure adhesion even during continuous activity, ensuring reliable protection in dynamic work environments. The bright blue colour, a colour not found in food products, enhances visual detectability in case the plaster becomes dislodged during food handling or preparation.
