The 25 × 72 mm Waterproof & X‑Ray Detectable Plasters by Detectaplast are professional‑grade wound dressings engineered to meet strict food safety and contamination prevention standards in industrial environments. These plasters are bright blue, a colour that does not occur naturally in most food products, making them instantly visually detectable if they become dislodged from the skin. In addition to visual visibility, they are also detectable by metal detectors and X‑ray inspection systems thanks to an embedded aluminium foil and X‑ray thread underneath the wound pad. This dual‑detection capability helps facilities comply with food safety protocols such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), IFS (International Featured Standards), and BRC (British Retail Consortium), which require effective control over foreign materials entering production lines.

Constructed from strong, waterproof polyurethane (PU) or PE (polyethylene) film, these plasters protect minor cuts, abrasions, and skin injuries from water, dirt, bacteria, and contaminants encountered in food and industrial settings. The film is thin yet durable and allows the wound to breathe while remaining waterproof and dirt‑resistant, ensuring that the plaster stays securely in place during hand washing or exposure to moisture.
