The 38 × 38 mm Waterproof & X‑Ray Detectable Plaster by Detectaplast is a professional‑grade wound dressing specifically designed for workplaces where contamination control and hygiene safety are essential, particularly in food processing plants, catering services, industrial kitchens, and food packaging facilities. These plasters are manufactured from strong, waterproof polyethylene (PE) material with a thin, breathable film that helps the wounded skin to remain dry and ventilated while protecting it from water, dirt, bacteria and viruses. Because of this film’s construction, the plaster maintains reliable adhesion even in damp or high‑moisture conditions common in food‑handling environments.

The bright blue colour is chosen because it does not occur naturally in food, making it highly noticeable visually if dislodged, and the plaster incorporates both an aluminium foil and an X‑ray‑detectable thread under the absorbent wound pad. This enables dual detection — by metal detectors and X‑ray inspection systems, significantly reducing the risk of a lost plaster entering the food supply chain.
