The 6 cm × 5 m Waterproof Detectaplast plaster roll is a professional, blue, waterproof wound-dressing strip engineered for environments where hygiene, contamination control, and safety compliance are essential, particularly in food processing plants, industrial kitchens, catering operations, and other food-handling industries. This universal plaster roll is made from very strong PE (polyethylene) material that provides excellent washproof and dirt-resistant protection for minor cuts, abrasions, and wounds, maintaining a reliable barrier even in wet and challenging conditions commonly encountered in food preparation areas. The blue colour is deliberately chosen because it does not occur naturally in food products, making any lost or detached plaster immediately visible during visual inspection procedures. The material does not discolour in water, ensuring visual detection remains effective under all conditions.

Along with visual safety, the plaster includes an aluminium foil strip under the absorbent wound pad that renders it electromagnetically detectable by metal detection systems used on food production lines, helping businesses comply with strict safety standards such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), IFS (International Featured Standards), and BRC (British Retail Consortium). These standards require effective foreign-body prevention to ensure product integrity. The strong hypo-allergenic adhesive secures the dressing in place with minimal irritation, while the absorbent wound pad is designed to not stick to the wound, allowing for more comfortable removal. The plaster is latex-free and provides a versatile solution that can be cut to the required length for various wound sizes.
