Blue plasters Superstretch

Blue Plasters Superstretch by Detectaplast are specialized elastic, blue detectable plasters designed primarily for professional environments where hygiene, safety and foreign-body control are critical, especially in the food processing, catering, and industrial kitchen sectors. These plasters are part of a category of metal-detectable first aid dressings that comply with international food safety standards such as HACCP, IFS, and BRC, which require visible and machine-detectable wound coverings to prevent contamination in food production lines.

The “Superstretch” variant refers to plasters made from a highly elastic textile material that conforms comfortably to moving body parts such as fingers, joints, and knuckles without restricting motion. The blue colour is chosen because it does not occur naturally in food, making the plasters easy to spot visually if displaced. Additionally, these plasters contain an aluminium layer under the wound pad that ensures they can be detected by metal detectors used in food safety inspections and processing equipment.

Designed for professional use, these plasters feature a hypo-allergenic adhesive that provides strong adhesion even in wet or challenging conditions, but is gentle enough to minimize skin irritation. The absorbent wound pad does not stick to the wound, allowing safer and more comfortable removal. Because of the robust and flexible textile construction, the Superstretch plasters are particularly suitable for areas of high movement and continuous work.
