Description

Arthur is MedVision’s pediatric patient simulator, manufactured by SCALEO Medical in France. Designed with fine attention to detail, from the realistic face and hair, supple and tactilely lifelike proprietary skin, to natural full articulation and palpable anatomical landmarks, Arthur’s advanced capabilities allow fuller immersion in simulation training.

Develop Major Medical Skills:
  • Perform CPR with real-time feedback. Defibrillate with a real defibrillator.
  • Perform intubation procedures with or without complications such as tongue edema, pharyngeal swelling, and laryngospasm. Sensors in the trachea, esophagus, and main stem bronchus assess and record intubation procedures.
  • IV and IO access, cricothyrotomy, urethral catheterization, and decompression of tension pneumothorax.
  • Includes an RFID medicine kit. Software records administered medication, rate, and volume.
  • Patient assessment: 10 pulse points, 21 auscultation sites (anterior and posterior, plus Korotkoff tones), and a comprehensive library of 73 high-definition auscultation sounds (heart, lung & bowel) from real clinical cases.
Development of Clinical Judgment
  • Addressing the complications in patient health caused by mechanical ventilation malfunction
  • Performing emergency assistance in case of airway obstruction and/or closure caused by allergic reactions, tongue swelling, or foreign objects.
  • Performing emergency first aid in various critical situations: drug overdose, anaphylactic shock, hyperkalemia, etc.
  • Addressing unforeseen complications in patient health caused by unknown circumstances.
