Description

Nasal cannula patient interface for delivery of humidified respiratory gases. For use with the humidifiers.
Setup Instructions
  • Select the appropriate size. The prongs must not create a seal in the nares, and a clear gap must be visible around each prong.
  • Adjust the head strap to fit, do not over-tighten.
  • Ensure the head strap clip is attached, to prevent the cannula from being pulled out of the nares.
  • The cannula can become unattached if not used with the head strap clip.
  • Attach tubing clip to clothing/bedding to prevent the cannula from pulling off the face.
Flow range:
  • Infant/ S 10-50 L/min
  • Pediatric/M 10-60 L/min
  • Adult/L 10-60 L/min

  • It is essential that the patient puts it between the teeth with the lips around it, so that the air can pass freely and the mouthpiece is sealed firmly by the lips.
  • Dentures are best left in place because they provide essential support to cheeks and lips; however, if they fit poorly and obstruct airflow during the maneuvers it is better to remove them from the mouth.
