MRI Patient transport tables up to 7 Tesla – with side guards for safer patient transport
The MRI tables with side guards from AGA Sanitätsartikel were specially designed for use in magnetic resonance (abbreviated MR or MRI). The frame components are made of slightly magnetic stainless steel or aluminium and brass. The low level of residual magnetism does not affect the imaging process, nor are the MRI patient transport tables attracted by the magnetic field of the MR system. It can be used on MR systems up to 7 Tesla without any problems. The two side guards included in the scope of delivery serve as fall protection and for safer patient transport. These MRI patient transport tables can be used safely under the following conditions:
- Static magnetic field of 7 Tesla or less,
- With an additional spatial gradient of maximum 7 T/m or less,
- The table must not exceed the limit line of 7 T/m with the head end/foot end in the direction of movement towards the magnet.

Features
- The MRI patient transport couches are equipped with swivel castors, Ø 100 mm. All four can be totally locked in turning and running directions.
- The MRI tables are available in two upholstery widths:
- Width 650 mm, Article No.: AWL-3065/VA,
- Width 800 mm, Article No.: AWL-3080/VA.
- Two side guards are supplied with these MRI tables for safer patient transport.
- The side guards, dimensions approx. 800 x 250 mm (L x H), can be lowered to the upholstery height using a pivot mechanism and secured using spring-loaded handwheels with fixing bolts.
- Please take into account the complete table widths including the side guards:
- The MRI table, Article No.: AWL-3065/VA, is 795 mm wide,
- The MRI table, Article No.: AWL-3080/VA, is 975 mm wide.
- The stability and robustness is achieved by the gusset plates in the frame corners and the cross and longitudinal braces between the legs.
- The tubular steel frame of the MRI tables is made of stainless steel. It has a low residual magnetism.
- It can be used with a static magnetic field of a maximum of 7 Tesla or less.
- The thicknesses of the two upholstered segments (headrest and main surface) are each 64 mm.
- If no height is specified when the order is placed, the MRI patient transport tables will be delivered with a height of 650 mm (also available in heights of 700, 750 and 800 mm at no extra charge).
- The adjustment of the head section is continuously variable up to +40°. It is locked in place with a clamping handle using a clamping rod mechanism.

The standard configuration includes:
- A set of castors, consisting of four swivel castors, Ø 100 mm. All four castors are lockable.
- Two side guards, dimensions 800 x 250 mm (L x H). So that these MRI patient transport tables can also be used from both sides, the side guards can be adjusted, pointing upwards or downwards, with a simple pivot mechanism and fixed with spring-loaded handwheels.
