Therapy with microwaves is classified as high frequency therapy. What the different frequencies of high frequency therapy have in common is that they generate heat in the tissue.
Microwaves are applied using the so-called radiation field method. This involves emitting bundled electromagnetic waves to the tissue via emitters (of different sizes and shapes depending on the application). The energy of these waves is directly absorbed in the tissue and converted into heat.
The penetration depth of microwaves is lower than that of short waves. Microwave therapy is preferably used when local warmth of the muscles or connective tissue structures (such as ligaments, tendons, capsules, etc.) is desired.

This allows for performance and comfort, while helping to reduce over-pronation. To use Spenco Gel Total Support Insoles, carefully remove the existing shoe insole. Insert the Spenco Gel Total Support insole into the shoe. Trim the front of the insole with scissors if necessary. Hand wash and air dry as needed. Spenco Gel Total Support Insoles are guaranteed for one year.
