This results in new requirements for optimal visibility of the needles and catheters, as well as their handling. Pajunk has set a standard for this with the introduction of our Cornerstone Technology for needles and is also providing echogenic catheters.
The SonoLong Echo catheters are non-metal-reinforced, however allow for improved ultrasound visibility and are radiopaque.

In stock Guedel Oropharyngeal Airway: This is used to create an air passage way between the mouth and the posterior pharyngeal wall. Useful when the tongue and/or epiglottis fall back against the posterior pharynx in anesthetized or unconscious patients obstructing the flow of air.

The mouthpiece used in spirometric testing may vary from instrument to instrument.
It is essential that the patient puts it between the teeth with the lips around it, so that the air can pass freely and the mouthpiece is sealed firmly by the lips.
Dentures are best left in place because they provide essential support to cheeks and lips; however, if they fit poorly and obstruct airflow during the maneuvers it is better to remove them from the mouth.
