Its cap is prefilled with 10% neutral buffered formalin and sealed with a resistant membrane.

  • It is easy to use. Simply open the container and remove the safety ring. Insert the specimen into the empty cup: there will be no direct or indirect (vapours) contact with formaldehyde.
  • Once the specimen is in the cup, insert the perforator and close the container: the membrane will automatically break, allowing the liquid to be released into the cup. The specimen can be fixed now.
  • The O-ring guarantees a hermetic sealing, preventing both the liquid and its vapours from coming out of the container.

How to use

 

1. Open the SecurBiop 60 ml package and take a container, along with its perforator.

 

2. Open the container and take the transparent cup.

 

3. Insert the specimen…

 

 

3. …Or the histology cassette – you can insert up to 3 histology cassettes.

 

 

4. Insert the perforator

 

5. Remove the safety ring from the cap

 

6. Close the container

 

 

7. Tilt it 45° to facilitate the release of formalin. Wait for the liquid to flow down completely.

 

 

 

8. The specimen is inside the container and can be transported to the specific department.
