The unique feature of the G-scan Open is its ability to scan patients in a variety of positions, which can reveal pathologies that are not apparent in a traditional supine (lying down) position.

• Weight-Bearing (Upright) Imaging: The system's adaptable, open design allows patients to be scanned in a natural standing (weight-bearing) position. This is crucial because symptoms and conditions related to the spine and joints often manifest more clearly when gravity-induced biomechanical alterations are present. * Dynamic Imaging: The system allows for the combination of weight-bearing exams with dynamic imaging, providing a more comprehensive insight into the examined anatomy.

• Open Design: The open magnet design ensures a non-claustrophobic experience for patients and is significantly quieter, making it a valuable option for pediatric patients.

• Efficiency and Sustainability: This is a one-room MRI system with a minimal installation space (approximately 23 m²) and is a sustainable choice due to its low power consumption (<3 kW).

Clinical Applications

The G-scan Open is specifically built to increase diagnostic accuracy and confidence for conditions affected by gravity.

• Musculoskeletal (MSK): It is an optimal system for all MSK applications, including the investigation of joint ligaments (especially in the hip and ankle) and various spine and knee pathologies.

• Spine and Joints: It is the primary tool for diagnosing symptoms and conditions in the spine and joints that are induced or exacerbated by gravity, such as certain spinal instability or disc issues.

• Surgical Planning: The unique perspective from weight-bearing images elevates assurance in surgical planning and spinal diagnosis.

Coils (Probe Types)

The system is supported by 12 dedicated multi-purpose coils designed specifically for the spine and joints.

• PBT-6 is a 4 way Motorized Tabletop with Elevating feature (66cm). A large tabletop with extended travel enables all radiography studies with minimal patient movement. Fully fat tabletop without a frame on the edge makes cleanliness and odors free
