Description

This Microbial ID & AST Analysis System is designed for modern microbiology laboratories to identify and characterise pathogens (bacteria & fungi) and perform antibiotic susceptibility testing in one workflow. The system supports species-level identification, delivers MIC or S/I/R interpretation according to current guidelines (e.g., Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute / European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing), and interfaces with LIS/WHONET for data management. It is particularly useful for high-volume labs handling emerging antibiotic resistance (MRSA, ESBL, VRE, etc.) and hospital infection surveillance.

Key Features
  • Species- and subspecies-level pathogen identification (bacteria, yeast/fungi)

  • Antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) with MIC or equivalent interpretation

  • Large antibiotic panel (200+ antibiotics) or broad coverage expected

  • Automated reading and reporting, likely colourimetric/turbidimetric or similar detection methods

  • Connectivity to LIS/HIS and WHONET databases for epidemiological tracking

  • High-throughput output suitable for hospital microbiology departments

  • Supports resistance-mechanism detection (e.g., ESBL, MRSA, VRE)
