Catheter System for a Continuous Technique and Single Shot Needles

Rectus sheath blocks have been in use for years. First abdominal field blocks were described in 1899 by Schleich1. With the introduction of ultrasound into Regional anesthesia, many new fascial plane blocks have been introduced, including the rectus sheath block, allowing for improved post-op pain management in abdominal surgeries. PAJUNK offers continuous sets with Tuohy and single shot needles including TuohySono, the ultrasound visible needles.

A practical way to reduce the exposure of pregnant women to ultrasound - listen to the baby''s heartbeat with Pinard Stethoscope, part of the midwife''s basic equipment. Advantages:
  • You are hearing this baby''s heart beating with your own ears and not the ultrasound Doppler effect converted by technology back into sound. What you are hearing is direct; it is not computed or averaged by a hand-held Doppler or a CTG.
  • Several people do not wish any ultrasound to be used, unless there is a clear indication 3) Much more economical than other conventional alternatives.
