Description

The OBS-50 is a market leader across the world due to its ease of use, high security, power on self test, full-range monitoring, remote control and precise output.

  • Power output can be controlled by the easy to use power adjustment button on the electrosurgical hand pencil which can shorten the operation time.
  • With the inbuilt memory function on the device, you can set the required function parameters then power off the unit, next time the unit is powered on, the unit the last set parameter will be displayed.
  • Output power of between 10 and 30 watts or less can be adjusted up and down by 0.1-watt increments, which is suitable for various delicate procedures.
  • It can be used with disposable dispersive electrode

Multiple Applications to meet your different clinic demands

Desiccation

  • Monopolar output mode without using the dispersive electrode
  • Contact or insert into the tissue with the electrode
  • The unit produces a high-frequency current, which runs through the patient via the electrode and then returns to the unit through grounding.
  • High-frequency current vaporises the liquid inside the tissue cell therefore causing denaturation on the protein

Fulguration

  • Another monopoly output mode without using a dispersive electrode
  • Holding the electrode above the lesions rather than contact directly, will release an electric arc to the tissue.
  • Range of action in this mode is limited to the surface where the arc contacts the tissue

Coagulation

  • Suitable for hemostasis and shrinkage of tissue
  • Used in control of hemostasis
  • Suitable for more difficult cutting procedures for good hemostasis

Monopolar coagulation

  • Monopolar output mode using the dispersive electrode
  • Under this mode, the high-frequency current that is produced from the unit flows through the patient and then returns to the unit via a dispersive electrode
  • The dispense electrode can draw more high-frequency current to the electrode, making the tip of electrode produce a more powerful desiccation to the tissue.

Bipolar Coagulation

  • An Output mode in which the high-frequency current circulates between two nearby electrodes (bipolar forceps), without using the dispersive electrode.
  • In contrast to the effect of monopolar coagulation, since the high-frequency current is only circulated separately in the forceps, the bipolar coagulation effect acts only on the tissue surface, causing minimal damage to the tissue.

Standard Accessories (Can be purchased Separately)

Features
1. Stainless steel & non-stick finish 2. Hexagonal connection ring fitting the pencil locking design. 3. Different shapes fitting for different surgeries

Features:
  1. Two Electrodes: The tips of the forceps act as both the active and return electrodes.
  2. Precision Control: Allows for targeted application of electrical energy.
  3. Reduced Risk of Burns: The current is confined between the forceps, minimizing the risk of accidental burns.
  4. Reusable: Often made from stainless steel or titanium and can be sterilized for multiple uses.
  5. Variety of Designs: Available in straight, angled, and bayonet styles to suit different surgical needs.
Uses:
  1. Coagulation: Used to stop bleeding by coagulating blood vessels.
  2. Tissue Cutting: Can be used to cut tissue with precision.
  3. Sealing: Effective in sealing blood vessels and tissue bundles.
  4. Versatility: Used in various surgical fields such as general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, and ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) surgery.
Electrotherapy electrodes with cables are used to connect the electrodes to the electrotherapy device, allowing electrical currents to be delivered to the targeted area. These cables typically have a standard 2mm pin connector that plugs into the device and the electrodes. There are different types of cables available, such as:
  • Standard Lead Wires: These are the basic cables that come with most electrotherapy units.
  • Bifurcation Cables: These cables allow you to connect multiple electrodes to a single channel, effectively doubling the number of electrodes you can use.
  • Extended Length Cables: These are longer cables that provide more flexibility in positioning the electrodes.
Features

1. LED light positioned between the electrodes enhances the vision during surgery.

2. Massive area hemostasis can be performed in a short time in order to reduce intraoperative blood loss 3. Saline line and dripping device are equipped in an attempt to contain the heat on the treated tissue and avoid thermal tissue damage
Indications for Use
  • Ensure that both electrodes are in contact with the tissue to be treated. Activation and saline flow occur simultaneously.
  • Ensure that saline is flowing at the time of activation
  • These devices should never be used when:
  • There is visible evidence of damage to the exterior of the device such as cracked or damaged plastic or connector damage.
  • These devices fail the inspection described herein.
  • In the presence of flammable gases, flammable prep solutions or drapes. Oxidizing. Gases such as Nitrous Oxide (N2O), or in oxygen-riched environments.
  • Do not use monopolar electrosurgery on small appendages, as in circumcision or finger surgery.
