Sterile dressings for infusion mainly include gauze dressings and transparent dressings. Transparent dressings are also called film dressings. They are made by coating one side of an ordinary medical film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The materials used to make the film are mostly some transparent polymer elastomers, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, polylactic acid, etc. Among them, the film made of polyurethane materials is soft, transparent, elastic, and breathable, and is an excellent material for preparing medical dressings. Film dressings have almost no absorption properties. They control exudates by transmitting water vapor, and the transmission speed depends on their molecular structure and the thickness of the film. The breathing rate of an ideal transparent dressing is equivalent to that of normal human skin. Transparent dressings are made of polyurethane material and hypoallergenic medical pressure-sensitive adhesive, with a thickness of only 20 microns. They are used because they are fully transparent, easy to observe the puncture point, breathable, and firmly adhered. Easy fixation, observation and maintenance are important measures to prevent catheter-related infections. Authoritative organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Intravenous Nurses Society (INS) recommend the use of transparent dressings to fix catheters. When choosing dressings, you should choose appropriate transparent dressings based on the type of catheter (peripherally indwelling short catheter/central venous catheter, etc.), puncture site, patient’s specific condition, external climate conditions (temperature, humidity), etc. There are four main types of transparent dressings: basic type, comfortable and stable type, comfortable and breathable type, and antibacterial type. Each type has small dressings suitable for peripherally indwelling short catheter fixation and large dressings suitable for central venous catheter fixation to meet the fixation needs of various catheters.
Typically 10-21 working days – excluding furniture and heavy/bulky equipment. Please contact us for further information.
Description
Product details
Self-adhesive wound dressing is made of medical high-quality non-woven fabric coated with medical pressure-sensitive adhesive and then covered with an absorbent pad.
Product performance
1. Hypoallergenicity: The medical pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin adhesion has moderate viscosity, does not irritate the wound, and does not hurt the skin when removing the dressing.
2. Breathable: The mesh structure of spunlace non-woven fabric allows the skin to breathe naturally, eliminates water vapor and sweat, and effectively reduces the occurrence of wound infection.
3. Non-stick to wounds: The absorbent pad covered with omentum is non-sticky. The omentum is only moisture-permeable but not moisture-absorbent. The absorbent pad can effectively absorb exudate, does not stick to the wound, and is painless when removed.
4. Conformity: The material is soft, thin and elastic, and can conform to the contours of the human body without hindering body movements.
Product Usage
Mainly used for general protection of incisions after various surgeries.
