- This test quantitatively measures C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration in whole blood, serum and plasma using the INCLIX™ analyzer. For in vitro diagnostic use only.
- C-reactive protein (CRP) is synthesized by the liver and is one of the acute phase proteins. In the acute phase response, increased concentrations of a number of plasma proteins, including CRP, are observed. CRP concentration measurements are useful in the detection and evaluation of inflammatory disorders, tissue injury, and infections.
- Low level of CRP can be the indicator of cardiovascular disease in apparently healthy people. However, increases in CRP are nonspecific and should be interpreted in the context of a complete clinical evaluation. Apparently healthy individuals with an elevated hsCRP value should have the test repeatedly to rule out a recent response to undetected infection or tissue injury.
- This test is a rapid test based on immunochromatography technique “lateral flow” using highly specific monoclonal antibodies. The detection antibody-gold conjugate and CRP leads to the generation of a reddish coloured band on the strip. The intensity of the band depends on the quantity of CRP molecules and is analyzed by INCLIX™ analyzer for quantitative readout.

| Skyla HB1 Clinical Chemistry Analyzer utilizes precision photometric measurement technology, combined with the single-use disposable reagent discs. The reagent disc contains a set of dry assay reagents that are used in the quantitative testing of various biomarkers in the blood sample. HB1 provides clinical testing laboratories of medical facilities and clinics with an in-vitro clinical chemistry diagnostic tool that is compact, portable, and reports rapid results. Only needs 200µl of blood (whole blood, serum or plasma is accepted.) and no sample preparation is required. All steps are designed automatically from checking the validity of reagent discs and cartridges to printing the results. Over 30 test parameters are allowed with fast analysis and results in 15 minutes. Internal Quality Control (IQC) with self-calibration of optical system, chemicals stability and interference alerts functions monitor and ensure the results with high accuracy.

This handheld, portable device is lightweight and includes the touchscreen and camera with attached clip. The camera can be removed and handled by hand, or can clip to the touchscreen unit for a hands-free experience. The back of the device also has a kickstand, so that physicians can stand the device on its own. The VPism-C can also be mounted to an armrest, if a patient needs to be stationary, or attached to a SLism-F Specialized Light Source for patients with deeper vessels. This device can be a vital tool in providing accurate placement of injections or other vascular treatments, such as for varicose veins.
